EDF - positive story for a change!
It seems that people are quick to criticise EDF on here but I just wanted to share my positive story.
I switched to the Blue+ Price Promise April 2014 when my Fixed S@ver V2 ended in September. I did this online from the link provided by EDF in the My Account section, so it should have been a straight switch over. I have always held dual fuel tariffs but for some reason only the electricity was switched, while the gas reverted to the variable rate. I only noticed this last week when I submitted a meter reading.
I contacted EDF on Saturday to query why they hadn't changed both tariffs and spoke to a very pleasant young man who promised to look into this and refer to management on Monday to get this overturned. I wasn't too sure that anything would come of this so I asked him to email confirmation of our discussion, and he said that he would call me on Monday with an update. He was as good as his word and has just called with good news that both fuels are now on the right tariff, backdated to 1st October. EDF may not always give the best customer service but on this occasion I am very pleased with their service.

You have to forgive my amusement. They set you up on the wrong tariff for no good reason and you think it's marvellous how they have now put it right.
I suppose it's progress in the world of EDF :rotfl:0 -
Yes I am pleased that they admitted their mistake and rectified it. I have read similar threads on here where EDF have screwed up and not done anything about it. However the point here is that the customer service was excellent with no excuses given, and they resolved the problem quickly to my satisfaction. We are quick to point the finger at EDF and their shoddy customer service but I am giving praise where it's due to the advisor I spoke to.0

You really must be a lovely person. If this was facebook, I would send a friends request. :kisses3:
Be angry like the rest of us....I mean this is an energy company we are talking about.
Let's compromise and say all the staff are beautiful people but the Management are........ not.0
