However, if your husband has only had his card for a few weeks, I suspect they haven't produced his first statement yet, so there is no payment due.

Check with the forthcoming statement that the DD is in place: "xxx amount will be deducted from your account on or after xxx date". Otherwise make a manual payment.

As I've mentioned before, Vanquis don't include that, so any similar, wording on their statements.

I suspect they're breaking the terms of the Direct Debit Guarantee by not doing so.

Last time I bought this up here I was told to get a calendar and a calculator and work out the details myself.
