    are you on dial-up?

There is usually a box in your dial-up setting which says "disconnect when idle for xxx minutes" I think you can untick it.

Reading web pages may not be "active" enough for it
We all evolve - get on with it

Are you ticking 'Remember me' when you sign in to the Moneysavingexpert forum?

Sounds like a filter problem, make sure ALL telephone sockets in your house have a filter connected to them. normally the disconnect time is shorter than 20 minutes but I have seen longer so it is possibly that.
  • IT could also be a setting on your Router, some if not all have a Keep Alive setting when in the settings for the ADSL connection, some routers by default drop the connection if there is no traffic after a set period.

I thought that you may have meant that you have to re-log in to Moneysavingexpert forum.
I don't use USB, but you could try clicking on 'Tools' and then 'Internet Options' and then 'Connections' in Interner Explorer. You should see your connection there. Click on it and then 'Settings'. There may be an option there to 'Auto Disconnect'. Modify that setting.
