Just got this 10 minutes ago.

Turn it on and it asks me to connect to my wi fi = fine.

connect to Sky xxxx = fine

Then it asks me for my password which I presume is the 'product key' line of letters for my wifi on the little card I have.

Tried putting that in in upper and lower case but it wont accept it.

Anyone tell me where Im going wrong please.

There are some tiny numbers on the bottom of the card, could that be it.

Thanks for any help.

So its connected to your Sky broadband something like SKY60AB

The password should be written on the card or on the bottom of your router, it will be eight capital letters.

If this still does not work log in to your router and recheck the wireless password.

    Thanks for your time.
I tried it one more time before tearing my hair out, and it has worked.

I think I'm going to have one of them pointer things, I have long nails so I think that was part of the problem.

Now for the rest of getting used to it.

I'll look up the instructions on here thugh, I'm sure it will be easier.

    Hi ya,

I use one of those " pointer thingys " when i'm texting on my phone , as i have long nails aswell .... The ones in my local poundshop work well ..

I really want one of the new kindles but can't really afford it at the moment :( ... but my " older " one still works fine :)..

If you haven't already done so , it will be worth subscribing to this website www.ereaderiq.co.uk as they email you with a daily list of free books to download ... Just make sure it is still free before you hit the download button as as occasionally the prices change ;) ..

    Happy reading !

Thanks for that, it will be very handy.

Could you tell me, in the absence of a charger, can I just plug it into my computer to charge it up overnight.
I'll get a charger tomorrow, but you know what its like getting something new lol

    Hi again ,
Yes you can plug it into computer to charge ... I just checked on Amazon for you and it says that it takes 11.5 hours to charge this way ! ...
Here is what it says "
Charge Time Fully charges in 3 hours via the Kindle PowerFast charging accessory, or slightly longer with other micro-USB power adapters that you may already have. Charges in approximately 11.5 hours from your computer via the included USB charging cable "

    Good luck lol !

Flippin' 'eck ... the chargers for them are £17.99 ... It's a bit cheeky them not including it with the kindle !
