CD wont play

Hi i have just burnt some songs on to a cd using wmp and it plays ok in the car but it will not play in the cd player in the house or in my wagon, there is no sound.

The players resgister the cd.
I have burnt the cd by wmp setting and not MP3 on the options
When i have put a blank disc in on the right it says Cd drive then underneath it says Data disc

Some players can play .wma files and some can play mp3 and .wma files. Both of these are Data discs. Some can play neither, only CD Audio. So, if you want complete compatibility, choose CD Audio.

As long as you are burning it as an audio CD and not a data CD. You may need to burn it at a much slower speed or the cd player in the house doesn't like the disc type you have used.

I have found some brands of blank CD also don't like certain players, not sure why. Tends to be the named brand ones too.

...and make sure that you've "finalised" the disc to improve your chances of it playing on "normal" CD players...
