Who are Consumer Letters, seen on my equifax report

Just ordered my equifax file and a search was done on myself by a firm called "consumer letters enquiry" and the reason for the search was a consumer letter.

WHo are they, and why have they been doing a search on my details?

  • Well I tried Companies House WebCheck and they're a no show there! Sounds a little wierd to me. Hope you find 'em.

The Consumer Letters Enquiry is a record of the last time you searched your own Equifax file.

As this is classed as an 'unrecorded enquiry', it's not seen by lenders when searching your file for credit purposes.

If you keep your old reports, check the date to confirm.
