do you know where the damp is coming from?
is it a blocked or leaking gutter by any chance?
get that fixed and I expect that your damp prblem will go away

  • Hi Platinum,
Check your gutters, external ground levels (ideally these should be 150mm below the existing Damp proof course)
    Is the pointing ok?
If you are getting mould growth on the wall, then there is a good chance it would be attributable to condensation / poor ventilation.

If you do need someone to come out
The surveyor should hold the CSRT qualification and the company ought to be a member of the Property Care Association www.property-care.org

Remember if there is mould growing at low level on a wall it is very unlikely that the wall will be affected by rising damp

    Good luck :)
