there's some interesting ones on that site but i just looked carefully at the badge on this one and it says 'Kibling' http://www.aliexpress.com/item-img/New-arrival-kip-waterproof-resistant-nylon-kip-shoulder-handbag-kids-school-bag-cassics-casual-bag-woman/1958203056.html0

Haven't got to the pics yet will try tomorrow, but I can say that the badge definitely says kipling, the zip pull has kipling on the plastic and the metal and the handles both have kipling on, the lining is just plain grey, that's where the finish lets it down a bit but not greatly, there are three compartments 2 velcro one zip, usual phone pockets and key fob.0

I see they have the Defea in the Monkey Mania Sky...but sadly it has light blue handles. One of the things I like about the gneuine ones is the contrast with the dark blue handles, I think it looks really pretty. Will keep searching, but I'm very tempted to buy one of these - they have some lovely prints!
Do you reckon this is like China's version of ebay? All different sellers, or is it actually one company?0 -

I've used Aliexpress several times before to buy jewellery for my daughter's birthday parties to give away as prizes etc. I've also used then to buy three really beautiful leather bags, a leather jacket and some leather notebooks which all cost a fraction of the price I could get them here.
They're not an Ebay as such, more an Etsy for companies! All of the large brand names we know and love are producing in Asia or Eastern Europe now and they commission local companies to produce their products. These local companies sometimes produce more than required or give the designs as a 'present' to other local companies who produce to the same designs. If the material is also being produced in the same area you can get almost identical goods to the brand names, if not, they create with what they have.
I've visited several of these companies in China, Taiwan and India as part of my job and what drives me crazy if the unbelievably low amounts of money the large, well known brands are willing to pay the producers compared to the ridiculously high prices we pay pay for the finished goods here. The companies producing these 'copies' are paying their workers a more reasonable rate and are making a modest profit themselves. Aliexpress is their platform to reach us in the West.
I'll get off my soapbox now0 -
Some badges look genuine, others not. But as said thats no indication of what you will receive.
Shame you cannot use Paypal as I'd be wary of buying - though some are good and cheap and worth a look.
Some pretty prints though.Great opportunities to help others seldom come, but small ones surround us every day. -- Sally Koch0 -
Thanks Erana69. I'm really tempted, there are some lovely prints. So much to look through though!!! I keep seeing very similar bags, like I've seen 3 listings for a Defea and about half a dozen for a Fairfax (well, simiar to those anyway) so it's hard to know which one to go for.
If I want to save some to compare later - would I put them in a wish list or add to cart? Is adding to cart like a promise to buy like it would be on ebay, or is it just like adding to basket on Amazon?0 -

You can add items to your basket to compare- I think Kipling bags are really easy to copy that's why there's so much on offer
Just like Ebay, check out the feedback of the seller before committing to buy. Remember that if you pay with credit card, you're covered by the credit company anyway.0 -
The general advice is to message the seller first with a general question to see what comms are like, also check if they have any feedback, although I used someone with no feedback for some shoes and had no problem at all0
