Am Looking at the lightning amazon deals and the supposed Kipling backpack is actually a puma Ferrari rucksack when you click through - is it worth a try to buy in the hope it comes as a Kipling?

Yes, I chanced it and my invoice clearly states that I have bought the Kipling Backpack and when I go to the Kipling Backpack listing it says that I purchased it.

So i'm confident I'll get the right thing as that Puma one is horrid :rotfl:

Hi, my first post in the kipling forum but have been lurking as I really like their bags and find amazon prices so gooooooood. :o
I bought in the lightning deals: Kipling Shoulder Bag, GRACY, black (Lacquer Black 952), K10909
It was meant as a gift but I fell in love with it, and kept it. Now a few weeks of usage and the bag is beginning to become white in parts (creases) and losing the black. Has anyone experienced this problem before with lacquer black K bags? Not sure if I am describing this correctly...
Any help on what might be happening and what I can do about it?
    Thanks.

I bought a Lacquer black Gracey for my daughter for Christmas. She found it too small, so I gave her another Kipling bag instead and kept the Gracey for myself. I have only used it for a few weeks now, but no problems so far.

I bought a black lacquer Gracy in a lightening deal in September 2013 and have been using it every day since then. I just gave it a close inspection after reading your post and mine has done the same. At the corners on top of the bag there are a few white marks, along the creases. They look as though you should be able to wipe them off but on closer inspection they look seem to be patches where the lacquer has separated from the fabric. There's nothing on the front or back. What a shame, I really like the lacquer effect. I must admit I hadn't noticed until you mentioned it, so my Gracy will be staying in service for a while yet!

I love the style, you can fit so much in. I went to a meeting in London with a colleague and fitted in my normal handbag paraphernalia plus packed lunch, reporters notebook and pen, my ipad with the meeting papers on it (in the slip compartment under the flap) and a woolly hat. As our train pulled in my colleague went to get his backpack from the overhead storage and offered to get mine - he couldn't believe I had everything in my handbag!
  • Has anyone noticed that the material of the newer kipling bags is inferior to the older ones. The fabric has a much cheaper and plasticky feel to it I commented to kipling and they said they would send the comment to the right department and get back to me but they didn't......I prefer not to buy the newer ones and keep to eBay.
