tax credit interim payment

Can somebody help me please????
My partner has recently moved in with me. I informed tax credits 7 days ago. They said my claim would be stopped and I would have to fill out a new claim form, I still haven't received it. My partner is self employed and only earns £45 after his outgoings. I am also self employed and currently don't/can't take a wage. I have to pay £300 a week in childminding fees which is a week overdue.
Is there any possibilty that I could request an interim payment from tax credits as we have no other source of income other than the £45 a week my partner brings in????
Please help, I'm going out of my mind with worry. How can I pay bills and send the children to the childminders?? I'm worried I will have bailiffs at my door through not paying bills and whether I will have to give up work because I can't pay the childminding fees.

Sorry to tell you this, but when i did it it took 14 weeks to get my money. They do back date (which doesn't really help you now, i know). It was hard but i knew what to expect so had prepared (saved up). I was told to keep ringing them as each time you do, your case is moved up.Try not to get angry etc on the phone as that wont help (not saying you will, but desperation causes strange things to happen). Nothing is going to happen very fast here.
Can you sell anything? Do you have savings etc?
Not sure about interim payment, i was declined personally (and i was on benefits). Ring them, but be ready for a rough few weeks, maybe months xThe feeling i got when i confirmed my place studying criminology at Exeter Uni was brilliant!!!!!
The pride my children told me they had in me was even better!!!!! # setting positive example to children is OUTSTANDING!!!! !:grouphug::grouphug::smileyhea:smileyhea:smileyhea:smileyhea:smileyhea:smileyhea:smileyhea0 -
In a word no.
An emergency payment can only be made when applying for for CTC only, no WTC. And even then it can only be made when the claim has been on the system for 3 weeks or more (which is the current timescale for new claims).
You might want to speak to your childcare and see if you can pay them after it's processed. Some childcare providers do this but not all, fingers crossedSaving money like a trouper...0 -
Thanks, It happened to me when I did my renewal in the summer. I didnt get paid for 8 weeks and had to ask my mum to get me a loan which I'm still paying off now. It's just what I need 4 weeks before christmas. I'm just gonna have to ring them and ask them to help. How do they expect ppl to live on nothing??? Maybe I should claim to be a drug taker and alcoholic and i'll get everything thrown at me then.
Sorry to be morbid but it just really annoys me0 -

'Lets just say drug takers and alcholics did get everything thrown at them' (even if that is abit of a stupid statement)
They certainly wouldnt have it thrown at them over night.0 -
It's worth noting that they are cracking down on people who are self employed but earning little or no money.0

Surely with an earned income between you of just £45 a week it would be better to claim JSA and look after the children yourselves.0
