I am on NTL broadband. There was a post on this site which mentioned a Linksys Wireless Broadband Router WRT54G. Is this a good buy?

Any problems with buying from ebuyer?

http://www.ebuyer.com/UK/product/125577

Novatech had the same wireless router for £27 but the price has gone up.

I have used Linksys routers in the past and personally wouldnt use again, I recommend this one http://www.ebuyer.com/UK/product/97222 not the cheapest router you can get but a very good router and its received excellent reviews in a number of pc magazines.

just to let you know that when i started this post and after reading the few replies i had i went to ebuyer to place the order and was disappointed to find it is out of stock. Have been checking daily but no stock yet. For some reason ebayer has the router priced lower compared to novatech. looks like the same item. Was wondering if ebuyer's version is old stock?

  • Ebuyer tend to do specials and one in particular recently was this one
    http://www.ebuyer.com/UK/product/120670 which I purchased for about £35

pile of rubbish, never did get it working and finally sent it back and it tested faulty by which time they had also sold out so I replaced it with

http://www.ebuyer.com/UK/product/109521 , this was a different set up and fell into place. cannot rate it high enough, the best wireless equipment I have ever used and although slightly dearer still a good price.
