Finish off 2013 budget planning and make sure I am happy with it
Get nails done - I have bitten them all down due to stress so this will be done this once only the once they have grown I shall go back to doing them myself... PROMISE! - done! That's the last time I am spending £25 on them though! No more biting due to stress
Send off old phone to mazooma mobile - cant do! I have found the bag that I kept the charger and phone in... Without the phone! Now I am hoping that its just fallen out (even though it was nearly fully sealed) and not that a family member who has pawned stuff of mine in the past has taken it. Will keep you posted.

Big day tomorrow! Will be totally debt free!
Can't believe it's your last week ..... I know you'll probably know this but thought I'd mention - if you're using some of your redundancy money to pay off debts, have you checked that it doesn't affect your entitlement to benefits (as it can apparently do this)?
I think it may depend on amounts etc as I know you also wouldn't get these if your savings are above a certain amount, so it may be worth doing anyway.Grocery Challenge £211/£455 (01/01-31/03)

Good evening everyone. Hope everyone has has a nice start to the week
Today I:
Checked banking (I curse using iTunes when drinking wine)
Moved money about to cover iTunes bill
Used birthday money to put petrol in the car rather than dip into savings
Sent email to national paper re broken oven
Sent email to watchdog re broken oven
LSD - only bought essentials (loo roll and juice for kids packed lunches)
Absolutely fuming about broken oven. I googled their name and it brought up that it is a recurring problem which cost £67 a time to replace.
Takeaway for kids tonight - I've caught their sickness bug and the thought of making food makes me heeve.
DS2 missed his prepaid swimming lessons too cos of my nasty bug
Well done to everyone in their money saving adventures todayOfficial DFW nerd no 551 - proud to be dealing with my debts

Kind of in a bit of a mess again with my OD
http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showpost.php?p=57523015&postcount=977
Pants ........ knew I never should've gone back into it as this is what happened last timebut I guess it's better than a loan or a huge c/card balance (and I have a newer car so don't need to worry about that for a while)
I just find the OD so hard to get rid of compared to things like c/cards - never been able to figure out why as it's still debt and I want it gone!:oGrocery Challenge £211/£455 (01/01-31/03)

My recipe for bacon, lentil and tomato soup - well, please bear with me recipe is probably a loose association but DH said it was nice :rotfl:
Sweat a chopped onion in a little olive oil
Add some chopped bacon (I used 4 rashers) and cook
Added 1 tin of chopped toms and 1 carton of passata but you could use an extra tin of chopped and a tablespoon of pur!e if easier.
Add a handful of red lentils about 75g ish and enough water to make it not too thick. I added salt, pepper to taste plus a teaspoon of sugar (as i used value tomatoes) and a glug of balsamic vinegar Bring to the boil, then simmer until the lentils are soft. Add some more water if too thick. Then blend if a smoother finish is required.
Enjoy0
