I have Barclay Initial £2000, Hsbc £500 and capital one £500 which been using from 2 years and would love to apply one good card with a decent limits. Need advice what card should i apply.
I would preffer to close these cards on having a decent limit on one card.
Calling all exepert who had intial cards to built up their credit history and what card did they applied where they been accepted with decent credit limit.
Thanks

Hi,
I would check out the Nationwide site as they will doi a soft search prior to your full application. This leaves you with a quote which you can either accpet of reject. Judging by what others have said on this forum, if the credit limit is high ie, over £2000, then you have a reasonable chance of being accepted, however, this is obviously not a certainty.
Do you know what your credit history is like now? Any missed payments? Do you know your percentage of credit utilisation? ie, the amount of debt compared to your total credit limits? If this is below about 60% then you should also be ok in this department.
It would be worth talking to the bank you hold your main current account with and ask them if they think you are eligable for a credit card for a BT. Dont let them do an application for you though as this will leave a footprint on your credit file and may go against you when applying for further credit in the short term.0 -

I don't have any miss payment though paying in full each month.
Could you please send me the page link where they do soft quote search before full application.
