Can anyone tell me if there is any recovery software available either free or not too expensive.

I have gone and deleted a folder of documents off my MBP, trouble is I am not sure if I used secure delete or not :o

Edit: It is quite a large folder, about 2 gb (8 years of scanned docs from my business) . I do have a backup on an external drive but it is at home about 7,000 miles from my current location.

Do you not have Time Machine set up? If so, just recover using that.

Unfortunately I did not have Time Machine set up on this MBP. I am on my travels and just bought this 2 months ago, used migration assistant to transfer everything from my old Macbook Air. I should have bought another external drive for $100 but had a couple of them already back home.

Anyway problem over, I forgot I had TechTool Pro 6 in the Apps I transferred from the Macbook Air. I used the data recovery function on that and recovered the docs I needed.

    Thanks anyway
