I dont know if I can make a claim for PPI or not

I took out a loan over 10 years ago with Natwest and had an overdraft/bank charges with Barclays and HSBC both of which accounts are now closed.

These were all paid off about 5+ years ago but unfortunately I have not kept any paperwork and nothing is showing up on my credit report.

So does that mean I'm wasting my time as I have no proof and have no idea where to start.

Any suggestions gratefully received.

Hi, give them a ring and ask them if they can check it for you, you might be lucky and you never know if you don't try

Also just a point if they do give you details and start of your claim make sure you follow it up in writing its better to have a hard copy of why you think you were mis sold, just incase you take it to the FOS.

Yes you can with your reasons still make a reclaim/complaint on the PPI.
Mine was successful from accounts taken out with the bank in the mid 90's.
You can try tracking down the loan account numbers on old statements, that is all you actually require really to make a reclaim.
