Hi All
i am new to money saving expert forum
Wanted to know if someone can point me to a good place to advertise/find tennants for my houseshare that i run. I currently advertise on spareroom.co.uk and easyroommate.co.uk however not getting much response.

I used both those websites and gumtree, when looking for a lodger.
I found that having sent 70 or 80 messages to people, I got fewer than 10 responses and only 2 viewings. I wouldn't bother paying for the upgraded membership, I did on Easyroommate but wasn't convinced it was worth it, and I did find Spareroom better to navigate.
However, I was contacted by someone who had seen my ad on Easyroommate, and all being well they will move in next week, so I guess it's a case of throwing enough mud and some of it will stick.Mortgage May 2012 - £129k

Have you got pictures on there? A lot of people will just skip over adverts without pictures, as it's hard to get a good idea of what is on offer. How does the rent compare to similar rooms? Time of year is also a factor, as many people won't want to move over Christmas.Note: Unless otherwise stated, my property related posts refer to England & Wales.
