Video converting and binding together

If I record vids from my phone say 3 or 4 etc, I currently have to convert them on free trial AVS Vid converter and then drag to Windows Movie Maker in parts and then can save all as one video, but I get the logo in front of the videos from AVS converter.
If I try to drag over vids from phone placed on PC straight to Window Movie Maker it wont accept it so alas have to do the convert and end up with the logo from AVS.
Is there any other programs free I can use to do this?

There's more info needed. What format are these videos? To find out, you could install Mediainfo and open the videos with it.
Or if you would let us know what phone it is, somebody might know what format it uses.0 -
its a samsung phone with a virgin sim card currently. windows media movie seem to accept in AVI formats of which my phone is not.0
