Just to answer that - some people list items with international appeal on the site where they think the best market is likely to be. For example, I might have a book which is more interesting to the US market. By listing in $$$s on the US site I gain more exposure to them directly than I would if I listed it in £££s on the UK site.

It looks like this was not legitimate, however, as people doing the above are usually up front about the location of the item.

I understand that but if it had been a genuine item it would be the wrong voltage/plug etc, and if it was a suppliers list again likely to be more relevant to a particular country.
A waist is a terrible thing to mind.

    I've been Money Tipped!
This is what really bugs me about ebay... the seller has a listing removed and then is just able to relist it again with the same offending method - no control - really bad!

Looks like ebay has given him/her the push - no longer a registered user: http://feedback.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewFeedback2&userid=cualtrics&ftab=AllFeedback

I suspect it won't be long until they're back with a different username and account. They obviously know how to try to work the system.

I wonder if Ebay/Paypal would block their IP address aswell, that would make it more difficult to re-register.

It might be someone trying to drum up business for an exporter located out there who would produce items suitable for the UK market.
