Help with leak in Velux window

I live in the rain-drenched south west of England - it really has been flooding here over the last few days, argh! I have a velux window in the sloping roof of a converted attic room. There's a leak in the right hand corner that spreading water down the side of the plaster. It started a few months ago, and I had a builder check the flashing outside in case it was from the roof. He couldn't see a leak in the roof, but but some extra sealant stuff on the flashing. The leak is still happening, and with the heavy rain is now much worse - the plaster is wet all the way down the length of the window. It looks like perhaps the window isn't quite fitting properly. Is this Velux's responsibility, so should I call them in to look at it? The windows had been put in new just before I bought the house 5 years ago. I have a Velux leaflet saying there's a 10 year guarantee, but I don't have an invoice/receipt confirming the date they were put it. They look less than 10 years old. Will Velux come out (for free) on this basis? Thanks for any help.

It won't be the window, it'll be the flashing kit that came with the window and it was probably installed wrong or may have moved. You need a proper roofer in to check, not a builder. Hope u sort it.0 -
More than likely that it's rain water getting to the underfelt above the position of the velux and the getting UNDER the flashing kit. Get that checked too.
