Hi, i wonder if any one can help. Six months ago i had a 'bump' with another car in a car park. There was no damage done to my car and her car was severely damaged already. At the time i offered to pay for the work she claimed i did, even although this could not be clearly established. She has since gone to her insurance company but has still not produced quotes or pictures(i sent my insurance company photos at the time)Can anyone tell me how long she can legally drag this out for? I have had to loose my no claims because of this and dont want to have to loose it for another year.Thanks.

Upto 6 years to actually start the claim. But once the claims in progress it still take years.
My mums got a claim going over 2 years now.
They maybe ignoring the letters or just slow to respond.
Are they trying to get their whole car fixed because of this incident?Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -
The insurer will close the file if she doesn't respond to them over a period of months, and you could push for them to do this if a renewal is coming up. Of course they'd have to re-open it if she resurrected the claim at any time up to the 6 year limit.0
