Some time back if you put a couple of words in the search engine the websites would come up with `cache` under the main heading and if you clicked it would give you a page with those specific words highlighted in the body of the text.
Maybe it is my computer but I don't have that facility anymore.
Can anyone help?

Not sure which search engine you're using.
If Google, sign in, click 'gear' icon at top right of page.
Choose Search settings
Choose 'never show instant results'
Save
This works for me.0 -
99% sure of what you were looking for was google search engine. It was their old design web page and is no longer in that format.
If you do a google search now, the results come back as they do, to the right of the text you will see >> in an extremely feint colour and you have to really look for it! If you move your mouse to these >> marks they become very visible and a mini page is displayed with the words cached on regular blue0 -
I remember this - Google used to highlight cached search terms in red, green, yellow etc. Unfortunately they seem to have turned it off late last year. If you search for "google cache highlighted words" you'll find other people with the same problem. It seems to be a byproduct of Google moving to HTTPS connections when you're signed in.
One of the links I have found comes up with a potential albeit fiddly solution - take your cache URL, which ends like this:
smallbot8g.html+&cd=6&hl=en&ct=clnk&client=firefox-a
And stick in:
smallbot8g.html+robotic&cd=6&hl=en&ct=clnk&client=firefox-a
And voila, you get highlighted cache results as before. Alternatively, log out of Google, or have a second browser that you haven't logged into your Google account with (which is good practice anyway).0 -

Thanks for this it works well0 -
Another method: Most browsers support find functions on the page. Press Ctrl+F on your keyboard and type the search term. That will highlight the words on the page for you.0
