The income will belong to your parents? Are they going to pay you rent for the flat?

No. The flat will belong to them too. We're just lending them part of the purchase price, which they will pay back.

As your parents are both in their 90's I'm assuming one/both might have served in the armed forces or did national service? If so The Royal British Legion might be able to offer them a grant. It is means tested though so they might not qualify but its worth asking The Legion.
