666diablo, that made me laugh, thank you.

I did ask around but no one saw anything, one of my neighbors has a camera but does not reach that far so didn't pick up anything. This was done by a van of that I am sure, I checked every van on my road for a sign, nothing and I still eye every van on my road suspiciously :) To be honest I don't think am ever going to find out who did it, I sure wish I could tho.
  • Important, to draw a line under it at some point and move on. Not something I can personally do very easily, so well done you.

However, If it was an Alien driving, then at least having a Govt dept called the MIB would actually make sense with a clear purpose and clear benefit to the public.

A clear hit and run, that is not actually a hit and run according to the real MIB, sure sounds like an 'X file' case to me............ As it stands, its probably a case for Mulder and Scully.

MIB won't help unless you can identify the vehicle.

and even if you do identify the vehicle, they may still wont help you.

If you are fully comp, and the other guy wasnt insured, they wont cover the cost of the damage (although they would cover injury compensation of you were injured - which you obviously weren't).

If you find his reg, and the car was insured, your insurer would go to his insurer - not to the MIB.

So basically, unless you are injured, or not fully comp, MIB are useless.

Nah, MIB will pay out for damage whatever insurance you have.

What you can't do is get your damage repaired by your own insurance and then reclaim the costs from the MIB, you have to go direct in the first instance.
