    for share dealing, yes, they used to use halifax's platform, and now have their own.

    for funds, apparently not, as they refer (in the page i linked to) to "our share of the fund platform fee".

    That's a valid position but you may not see the effects of the second stage of RDR, the reform of platforms, for another year.

    Even when the dust has settled on that you shouldn't expect terms to remain unchanged indefinitely. Doesn't work that way. The players will always be making changes from time to time in the light of competition regardless of any regulatory changes.

    The best you can do is to make your calculations on the information you have, always including the cost of moving again, and be prepared to rethink if circumstances change or your assumptions turn out to be wrong.
