Drivers Licence photocard issue date
NewbeeT
I have had a drivers licence, originally obtained in South Africa in 2001. Then exchanged to a UK one in 2009. My handbag was stolen earlier this year and now my licence states an issue date of 2012. My car insurance quotes now see me as a new driver. How do I get around this??
Thanks for advise

On the licence what dates does it say your categories are valid from? The 2012 date is likely to be the issue of the photocard, not the licence (i.e. right to drive).0

As above thats the issue of the photo card not the date your UK licence started.
That will be on the paper bit or the back of the card.
Section 4a is the photo start date and 4b the expiry date.
It will say cat B date 2009 or 2001 ??Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0
