need some credit card advice

Hi all,
I have just taken 2 0% balance transfer cards out recently to pay off some negative equity for a house sale. Just rang one of the bank to transfer some money into my bank account and they will only transfer money to a credit card. Why is this? Can i ask them for a cheque instead? Did'nt think to ask until now, i remember years ago they use to issue them if i remember rightly. My solictor has not got a card machine at present so will only accept cheques or bank transfer. Not sure what to do now, can you help? Thanks :mad:

Some cards will and others won't let you transfer into a current account. First move might be to see what the other card allows.

Again, some cards allow you to issue cheques but at a high cost and the issue of cheques on credit cards is in decline. Check the costs involved before you resort to issuing a cheque on a credit card. You may need to transfer the balance to the second card to get the 0% BT to apply.

If the card you have won't allow money transfers as opposed to balance transfers then that card is of no use to you.

Until such time as you have the money to redeem the mortgage your solicitor will not be able to complete the sale.
Can you not get a personal loan?
