Spam from Hotmail via Talk Talk

I am receiving vast amounts of spam emails
The problem being that they originate from my Hotmail account - which I am automatically forwarding to my Talk Talk account..

I have tried filtering them out at Hotmail (but that doesn't appear to prevent forwarded spam) and Talk Talk (but that doesn't appear to do anything at all)
I have tried to filter by only allowing "safe senders" - but again - this only appears to filter locally (not forwarded emails)
Any suggestions - before I resort to stopping the complete forward setup ?
