Hi, I have a problem with my boiler. The problem is that for example, I will turn on my heating and the boiler will fire up as normal. but when the water is up to temperature and the boiler clicks off. the boiler will not engage again to top up the temperature. also when I turn on the hot tap, the boiler will click as if it was firing up but will fail to engage. can anyone give any advice on my problem. the boiler we have is a Ideal. Thanks Andy

First thought was diverter valve but it could be caused by almost anything. Its probably 10 - 12 years old now. When was it last serviced?
