does the taxman owe my money?? or do i owe him?

i moved out of my parents house approx 5 years ago, (got my own place). i never informed the taxman of this. my question is have i been paying to much tax (paye) of will i be hit with a bill.

Tax isnt based on where your living, its based on your income - as long as that has been declared correctly there should be nothing owed by either side.I no longer work in Council Tax Recovery but instead work as a specialist Council Tax paralegal assisting landlords and Council Tax payers with council tax disputes and valuation tribunals. My views are my own reading of the law and you should always check with the local authority in question.0
