Average Increase - Electricity
My provider has hiked rates by 24% over econ7 & std tariff which is 17.65% on econ7 & 6.25% on std tariff. They say average rise is 11.95% overall but as we use 80% econ7 & 20% std that cannot be right. How do you calculate the average ?
Is there a cheaper option as I cannot find one on comparison sites.

No, the comparison sites generally show everything available, there have been some recent price increases, and so if you are already on the cheapest then there isn't much you can do. Electricity is increasing in price, largely due to us all footing the cost those lovely solar panels you see on roofs, and exploding wind turbines, and if the green lunatics in Europe continue to get their way, what we pay now will seem nothing in a few years time....Is there a cheaper option as I cannot find one on comparison sites."Dont expect anybody else to support you, maybe you have a trust fund, maybe you have a wealthy spouse, but you never know when each one, might run out" - Mary Schmich0
