...The online message then says that my readings have been sent to EDF and will be processed later. And I thought the whole point of submitting it online is to save time and avoid calling their call centre...
It is usually, but in your instance they are alerting you to the fact that there needs to be manual intervention on this occassion.0 -
Yes I had a lengthy online EDF chat session, during which they asked me to send photos of the readings as the 5 digit values did not seem to be enough.
1st photo email got bounced as their system does not accept outside emails to EDF employee email addresses! And 2nd one got a reply, wait up to 10 days for an answer.
At no point did they suggest they could just accept the values and do it for me!

My wife took over my direct debit to EDF when I lost my job, this week now that things are better,I rang them to pay off the £300 that we owed, and to get the direct debit back on my bank account, the lady dealing with it was very good, and sorted it.
However, yesterday I had a message from EDF saying that me or my bank had cancelled the direct debit, odd,as i had not,and i am sure my bank did not,so I went online and checked, and the direct debit was still there and active!!I contacted them, explained that it was probably the old direct debit in my wifes name that was cancelled, but my one was still active,NO they said,no direcrt debit all all, they asked me to check my bank,I informed them that I already had,and it was there, and active, they said it was not,and they wanted to set up ANOTHER direct debit,I said NO,I asked them to listen to the phone call I had with the advisor this would confirm the direct debit was set up,yes, they said but she had cancelled it,NO I said,it is there and active. So,I said if they did not sort this i would leave to go to another supplier, they hung up,so,I have switched,AVOID EDF AT ALL COSTS!!!!!!!!!:mad:0
