Thought some people on here would like to see Prue's take on an OS budget! Seven days worth with recipes.

Good to see she incorporated fruit often but in her efforts to get prices down she used several supermarkets' special offers - not realistic for many people!0

I think thats pretty good as it inc lunch and breakfast unlike the sainsbury one a while back - most of the stuff on their is tasty an accessible and therefore possibly more likely to appeal to the average joe than some of the more hair shirt suggestions of extreme ms menu planning.People seem not to see that their opinion of the world is also a confession of character.

God bless Prue, I think she's lovely. I wish she would adopt me, along with Mary Berry - they could be my joint mums
I was actually quite impressed by this, especially as she's managed to pack in lots of fruit and veg.

I'd like to see how she got Tuna that cheap though. It didn't say where that came from I noticed.
It also didn't show any 'snacks' - with three teens in the house the 'meals' wouldn't be enough, I also get through endless cereal, toast, and any other sort of instant carbohydrate you care to mention.0 -

Yes, aldi tuna chunks are about 50p a tin0

Actually just looked at the link and the shopping list halfway down the page says which shop she bought the food from0

i really like the look of this, she obviously knows what she is talking about and the recipes are sensible and sound good to eat. i had to laugh at some of the sainsburys recipes in their feed a family promotion as there wouldn't have been enough to fill you up but these are far more realistic.'We're not here for a long time, we're here for a good time0

Some nice meals there. Glad she liked Aldi foods (though I hope my local store doesn't get any busier due to all these recommendations lol)I like to live in cloud cuckoo land :hello:0

.Ald! tuna is mush in a tin though, the Young Master in this house has given it the thumbs down, and asked me not to buy it again.
As you point out it's not possible for most of us to shop in several different places most of the time. I've only got the choice of two most of the time....but at least her's quite mainstream, and if you could throw in a few yellow stickers, and some store cupboard bargains on top of those suggestions, the budget would come right down!
