    Hi Kay. :)

I would also recommend the CCCS. I've not dealt with them but have read tonnes of good stuff about them.

Your lendors will eventually agree to it. They will try all underhand tricks to get more from you but once they realise there is no more they will give up. It also helps your cause going with someone like the CCCS as opposed to a fee charging company.

It's not legal in the sense that it is just an agreement between yourself and your creditors (via the CCCS). There is no contract and no legally binding agreement. You and your creditors are able to stop it whenever you chose.

Hope that helps. If you have any more questions just ask away. :)

Thanks all, i have called cccs, and they have booked me a telephone appointment on tuesday 24th, they have told me to reduce my payments this month, i have just called welcome finance and am waiting for her to get back to me, i need to call littlewoods and provident now! wish me luck.
I feel like a weight has been lifted off my shoulders by calling them, hopefully all creditors will agree to this.

    thanks again.

Dont forget, if you owe any money to your bank/building society, you need to set up an account for wages/benefits to be paid in with another bank as soon as possible.

  • I'm changing to Payplan at the moment.

I have been with Spectrum Finance for the last year, and I have now realised the error of my ways! Unfortunately they have had a lot of money off of me which could have gone off my debt! To the tune of about 3k!

Stick with the non-fee charging services, which really are CCCS or Payplan.

out of interest; with CSSS; do they arrange everything such as contacting your creditors or is this done yourself?

Just I noticed with Payplan they do all the work.

Obviousally don't mind doing the work myself as they're helping out as much in anycase for free. but would like to know.
