Granite Worksurface

I have a piece of Granite Worksurface which was a cut out from the hob slab that we use as a pastry rolling board.

However the edge has got knocked and is slightly chipped - I think all that is needed is to have a slightly larger bevel ground on it.

Can someone please advise how I can do this?

You would need an angle grinder and a diamond blade grinding disc, just a matter or grinding a bigger bevel. When if you do it you will also need copious ammounts of water spraying onto the grinding surface to keep the granite and grinding disc cool.

Thank you how do I buff it up again after grinding the affected area?

Similar sort of thing again, a diamond polishing head would be needed.

Bearing in mind its a one off I would contact a kitchen fitter to see if they have the equipment save you a few £££'s

  • Cheaper than that nip down to your local cemetery and find a monumental mason putting up headstones and ask him!

If you dont already have the diamond blade or the skill it will work out much cheaper
