How would I recharge a Sony MP3 player with a lithium-ion battery?

I'm very new to the world of mp3 players, and am currently looking at this one:
http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/B000FBNCTA/pricerunner-21/ref=nosim
I've noticed that it has a lithium-ion rechargable battery - how would I recharge this when it goes flat? The other brands that I have seen simply take an AAA battery, which I would dispose of when flat and would buy a new one to replace it.
Any help would be appreciated!

It'll charge in a USB port on your 'pooter. The disk-based Sony players come with a mains charger which has a USB-style socket, so you can charge from this or any USB port (dunno if the memory-based ones have this included).
Hope that sounds more sensible than it looks...0 -
oh right! So my computer charges the mp3 player.... do you know how long it would take to charge, and how long it would last for? I'm hoping to buy one to take on holiday with me, but won't have access to a computer for a week...0

From some of the reviews, looks like it could be up to an hour to recharge fully and should play for over 20 hours. Maybe not the best choice for a holiday MP3. I have a disk-based Sony, but bought a Matsui (AAA battery) for holidays (less nickable as well...lol). Quite impressed by the sound quality in practice, and a 2gb one was less than the Sony 1gb - was around £30 during a Currys sale - wouldn't have paid the usual £60 for it though.
I suspect a lot of the memory-based ones will be similar, sound quality will depend more on the earphones.
You could always look at mains/USB chargers - quite a few on Amazon http://www.amazon.co.uk/s/ref=sr_pg_1/203-0085242-4557534?ie=UTF8&keywords=sony%20usb%20charger&rh=i%3Aaps%2Ck%3Asony%20usb%20charger&page=10 -
The alleged time is 28 hours from a full charge. I would expect about 18-20 hours being more realistic.
As for chargeing it isnt made clear on any of the sites I have looked at, my sony HD player will charge from a supplied mains adaptor or a usb cable.
I have charged it from one of these and it should work for you. It connects to the mains and you can connect anything to it that uses a USB port to charge, I used on in the US to charge my PDA, mobile and mp3 player 1 charger for 3 items a brilliant travel companion, I can also use it in the car. You will be able to just plug your player directly in to the usb port on the charger.
I would consider somthing with a larger storeage capacity as a 1GB wont take that many albums. and you may get bored after 18 hours listening to the same albums over and over. I heard that the NW-A1200 has been discontinued whihc is an 8GB hard drive based player I bought my mum one for christmas and it was about £120 they should have droped in price by now. if you can find them anywhere.0 -
