Virgin Atlantic cc - bonus miles

Hi,
Just wondering if anyone else is having problems getting bonus miles applied on the Virgin Atlantic CC? When I applied, the bonus was 9.000 miles but they have only credited 3,000 and keep insisting that is all I am entitled to. I have now written a formal complaint but wondered if others had the same issue.

I don't know if it helps but I received (only) 3000 bonus miles when I opened my account in January 2011. Perhaps the 9000 miles was a short-term offer which you missed for some unfortunate reason.Are you for real? - Glass Half Empty??

Is it 9000 miles for the black card (fee is around £150 I beleieve) and 3000 miles for the white, 'free' card0
