Need a bit of DFW TLC

I was posting here last year to be a DFW !! In January this year we suceeded - we had paid off a big portion of our debts and then a re-mortgage for a cheaper rate but a bit extra of the equity (house wirth £200,000 mortgage £80,000) we managed to clear all our debts, loans, etc.
We also managed to stretch to a new kitchen as this will add value to our house (its at the cheaper end of the market where we live as it is a bit run down) as we are planning on selling and eturning to my home county of Cornwall.
The last bit we had to pay for the Kitchen was the £800.00 fitting fee and we realised we had run out of money although I am waiting for over £2,000 to come in as part of a tax rebate, mortgage exit fees and mortgage/bank charges.
Thinking we were only £800.00 short temporarily we decided to call the kitchen company and postpone the fitting of the kitchen by 6 weeks so that we could get the money in and pay for it without having to borrow or get in to debt. The kitchen company were awful and shouted at me down the telephone and had me in tears (hormones
)
So in a panic I did what I thought was best and took out a loan for £1,000 :rolleyes: now I am so gutted but what choice did I have. I had nobody to lend me the money, kitchen company would not postpone the fitting and thretened to withhold what we had paid them (£4100) and I was crying and in a bit of a state.
DH and friends keep telling me that it doesn't matter too much as the loan is for £1,000 over 12 months only, no PPP, a good APR, adding more then £1,000 to the value of the house and we will pay it off in full in approximately 1/2 months anyway. ONLY I don't see it this way I have just spent 7 years in debt and trying to get out of it only to suceed and then get back in it again
I am so, so upset over this that I was up sobbing at 5am this morning.
Oh I am so angry at me and the bl00dy kitchen company
Sorry for the long, hormonal post just needed to offload and was hoping someone on here would understand.

Dont think youre being hormonal. I think your distress is perfectly understandable. Sounds like a rotten cowboy company. I dont think theyve got any right to demand all the money until the job is finished anyway. It sounds like theyve victimised you and theyre the ones at fault. Could you not write to their Head Office to complain about the way youve been treated? It is very unprofessional to shout at someone over the phone. :mad: I think you should complain or go to the Citizens Advice Bureau or write to BBC Watchdog or your MP - or something.The forest would be very silent if no birds sang except for the birds that sang the best0

No they don't want the money until the job has been done but it is due to be completed end of the month which is when they will want the £800.00.
I think DH is going to complain because he has told them that due to some early pregnancy complications they are to discuss this with him to save ,me the stress so they are well aware of the situation:(
beleive it or not the company have come highly recommended from 3 other family members - that is why we have used them because it is so dodgy trying to find builders, plumbers, ect !!!
Thanks again hun.
