ebay.com watching the watchers...

When I have several items I'm selling on ebay, I tend to occasionally log into ebay.com to check the number of views and bids in one go. At most people know, this is something we can't do on ebay.co.uk.

I've only just noticed today that I can check against bidders and how many times they've viewed my item. I'm selling a very collectible item with over 30 watchers and 180 views. Just clicked into the 6 bidders and they've viewed my item from 35-160 times! Seems excessive and I can only assume it shows how keen they are on the item.

I've checked bidders on my other items which haven't got as much interest and individual views are around 4 to 10. This sounds more like the number of views I might make for an item I want to make a successful bid on. I tend to put it in my watch list and review the list on the day of bidding and perhaps make comparisons if an identical item appears.

Don't know if this information is going to be useful to anyone. I'm still trying to work out why anyone would want to keep viewing an item many, many times

well that's an interesting facility. who knows why they keep checking up ? - maybe the viewers have ocd? maybe they really, really want to study item before bidding? maybe yr page has been made their homepage and they can't help but keep seeing it? bets of luck with the sale at any rate
