Hi,
We're off on holiday in a couple of weeks, have just been browsing for cheap travel insurance.
Direct Line can do our buildings and contents insurance for £238.00 per year. If I go through Quidco, it is £100 cashback (taking it to £138 per year)
Direct Line say it also includes 'annual European travel insurance for you and your family'
Well, we want European cover as we are off to Cyprus and France this year.
It seems like a really good deal!! Currently we pay £359 per year for B&C insurance. This is because we just got 'customer apathy' and couldn't be bothered to shop around....
But now I've found this forum
we want to save money!
So, is this deal really as good as it looks?
Will their Annual European cover be enough?

Hiya, be careful some home insurance policies are offering this travel insurance as an inclusion but it doesnt always cover you for everything a seperate travel insurance policy does. It's better to be safe than sorry!! Try a comparison site like http://www.moneysupermarket.com/travelinsurance/ for a cheap policy i found a really good deal on there and saved spending ages looking around!! ;-)0

Anyway, I am pleased with my B and C insurance from Direct Line. Their quote was almost the lowest I got, and with the cashback it was unbeatable. At the end of the year I got my partner to take out a new policy, so that we could get another lot of cashback. And the renewal quote was virtually the same as the quote they gave her as 'new business', so it seems they do not fleece existing customers. Anyway, I had to make a claim and was fairly pleased with the way they handled it.0
