Good Morning chums ,electric man has been and replaced my old meter with one thats far easier to read and was a really nice chap.I made him a cuppa which he was happy with as the weather is awful damp and rainy and thoroughly grey looking outside.
I managed to get a place booked for my youngest DD for her and her OH next weekend at Hythe for the night Its her OHs birthday on Monday and they like to try to get away on their own for one night during the year its a year since they have been away together without children, dogs, hamsters etc .So next Saturday I shall be staying at their house whilst they have a night away, and the boys and I will watch t.v. and eat too many sweets and spoli ourselves, its a 'naughty night with Nanny'We'll have a fish and chips takeaway which they rarely ever have and DD and her OH can have a night's peace without the tribe.I usually will give them a bit of cash so they can have a meal out (another treat for them) as they are both very good to me during the year and Simon (her OH ) is a smashing son-in-law and a great Dad so its nice for them to have a night on their own
Then on the Sunday I shall be seeing my eldest Shelley, as its her birthday (45) can't hardly believe it.I have yet to buy her birthday present ,its hard to know what to get her.I have so many birthdays this side of Christmas:)
Right I'm off to have a cuppa as I decluttered my cupboard under the stairs for the electric chap and found a bag of baby cloths that were Mikey's spare set when he was little, along with half a dozen Pampas He is nine next June so show how often I go into the 'glory hole' under the stairs
Have a good day everyone and stay warm if you can

Morning all:wave: Hope everyone is ok. Hugs to those that are ill or down.
I have been soo busy with college and family this week that I have hardly been here.I am determind to pop in as often as I can, even if its once or twice a week. I have another extremely busy week with 2 interviews at a couple of Universities neasr me. I keep thinking to myself that I must be bonkers as I am 48, a mother and grandmother but I find myself plodding along with this dream of mine. (Nursing)
So scared, but more scared of regretting not trying iyswim.
nmlc hope your windfall brings you richness of life x

Butterfly Brain your planned afternoon sounds bliss.
JackieO Everyone needs someone like you in their life. Sounds like you have planned a lovely overnight for your daughter and son in law, and I am sure your grandkids will have fun with you.
Rest of the day will be tidying, mooching a couple of charity shops and I also might try and bake something. I am not the most domesticated but love the thought of being like that.
Rain is forecast in abundance for this afternoon, so I better get a move on. Have a great day everyone.x“Love yourself first and everything else falls into line. Your really have to love yourself to get anything done in this world.” Lucille Ball.0 -
Hello, humans.
Auntie Wolfy's not feeling well today; she's got her left arm in a sling cos her wrist is all swollen; she says it's her "dominant hand" (whatever that means) and a sling will stop her automatically using it without thinking. Any road, she's not really herself, so I'm posting instead.;)
Louie hey mate, sorry to hear you have a lampshade on. But you have to leave your "bits" alone, or it won't heal right.
Luna aww, what you been eating?? You labs! Stomachs on legs, the lot of you! Tell Mummy Bitsy not to eat in front of you;) and good luck.
Jack hope you're ok mate - the light diet sounds like a plan, mate;) - I get a ration of dry greyhound mix twice a day, which suits me fine; I can usually blag a Shape off Auntie Wolfy though.;)
Skye I've never had pasta - sounds good though.:o
Jodie & Maud Hi ladies. *waves paw*
What else.... oh yeah, Auntie Wolfy says Hoppy Birdday Shelley.
Bye for now

Morning all,
a cold and damp day it is here in the sunny West Midlands.
Its 11.58 and son has just gone off to the dentist.
Daughter number 2 is upset. Another month has passed her by and she isnt pregnant.
I am hoping to go food shopping later (thats if i can get hubby out of bed).
Salmon for tea i think. Might do potatoes in mayonaise and mixed vegetables. Its not the sort of thing you have on a cold day but it has been requested.
Dogs are quiet, sleeping at my feet as usual.
Have a good day all and wrap up warmly as its bitingly cold out there! This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

Pasta bake for dinner with salad and jacket spud.
House is quite clean and tidy, well as clean as it can be with the kids at home
Hope you all have a lovely day whatever you are doing & hugs where ever needed x0 -
Afternoon all
Very wet, grey & dismal here today.
We had to go & and collect a parcel from the sorting office, my new non-electric whistling kettle, from there we went to the chiropodist to get hubby's nail sorted out & then on to Tesco to put petrol in the car.
We are now home & snuggled in front of the GP qually with a quilt over our knees. I may have a snooze soon, lol.
Have a good day everyone.
Hugs Hester

Don't seem to have done loads today... walked dogs early on after breakfast as i wanted to get that done before the rain returned! Rehearsal for tomorrow's confirmation service, then coffee and bacon buttie with a friend. Shopping for us and a neighbour and jeu finished watching an old Foyle's War. Mince and ravioli mix for supper.
And another Saturday bites the dust!
DH seems to have got away lightly with this first chemo treatment...just eleven more to go. Cancelled our planned cruise yesterday as he won't be through in time. never mind, sure there'll be opportunities after he's recovered.
Hope you're all enjoying the w/e.Take care.Resolution:

Evening all,
Just recovering from a hectic 24hrs with DGD,we are both shattered :oTo be fair DH has loaded the skip that arrived at 7.30 this morning as well-we now have a clear front lawn, not only got rid of all the tree trimmings and bushes that dh cut down ,but also a good bit of rubbish that had accumulated :j
Went to see my SisIL as she was looking after her DGS,so the tiddlers had a bit of a play, then we went to a garden centre to see the Xmas display. It was quite late by then and Santa passed us coming out of his grotto,& stopped to talk to DGD.Sadly at 14 months the honour passed her by:D.Had a quick cuppa in the cafe before dropping her off at her Mums.Ordered an Indian and will flop in front of the tv now.
So sorry,no OS for me today ,but we wont need any tea tomorrow:) as we are all going to DH Aunt & Uncle who is 90 tomorrow.
Hugs to all in need esp Auntie Wolfy-Leo hopes your arm feels better soon.x:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. (Eleanor Roosevelt)0
