Part P Electricity certificate

We are splitting up and have sold the house having recentley extended we need a certificate to say all electrics are in good working order, when electrician came he said we need 3 new spots in bathroom, 3 remote control fire alarms, which I am buying, and he has told me the main water supply coming into the house needs to be bonded, meaning tiled floor has to come up, estimate of £300-£400, does that sound right? I havent a clue, any help please>

    If this is your first estimate, then get some more. Many people recommend getting 3 quotes and employing the middle priced tradesman.
