Use them just like large prawns! Great wrapped in foil with butter in the barby or add to a paella - curry would be good or stirfry...maybe coat in batter & serve with sweet chillu dipping sauce....I THINK is a whole sentence, not a replacement for I KnowSupermarket Rebel No 19:T0

Langoustines are just an up-market prawn, so nothing too overpowering with them, and they only take a few minutes to cook (once fully defrosted)Thanks to all who post constructively.

This may seem like a silly question but how do I get the shells (and eyes & legs! :lipsrseal ) off?
Do I cook them with the shells on and then take them off??
Sorry.. I do normally know how to cook most things!pinkpinkfizz

Yes cook with shells on and then remove-they are just like giant prawns really.Just break the heads off and then the rest of the shell will be easy to remove.
We bought some live ones in France once-it took me ages to work out how to ask the stallholder how to cook them .DDs were disgusted with us and refused to touch them.0 -
On this week's 'Great British Menu' both chefs are cooking langoustine for their fish course so if you can watch the Friday episode, you'll see what they do - BBC2 6.30pm. They used fresh ones which take hardly any time to cook. You will need to defrost your fully before cooking.0

make sure that, as with prawns, that you remove the little intestines thread before cooking!:j Ready to take control of my life! :j

Treat it like a prawn. You can make a nice stock with the heads and shells afterwards.0
