I have just had some electrical work done in my house and the electriicaln has installed seperate single dimmer and a seperate light switch next to each other. They are not even the same design / make so looks pretty bad. Is there anything i can do?

I bought a new switch yesterday from focus and contemplated buying a dimmer and switch on one plate they were about £20 for a nice brass/chrome one.

Alternatively you can simply buy two switches on seperate plates that do match.0

It is easy to assemble the parts to make up a 2 gang switch with one dimmer and one standard switch, check out Screwfix MK range. Alternatively just buy a 2 gang dimmer and leave one on full.
The recent dimmers i have bought you press once and it comes on at the last setting. So just press for on and off on the one you want as standard and use the second as a dimmer.0
