CC Transfer

When transferring a CC debt onto a 0% is it always necessary to then not use that CC for purchases?

Yes don't spend on a card that you have a 0% deal. Otherwise you have to pay interest on those subsequent purchases as you will be carrying a balance.
  • Need to read the T&Cs but generally this is no longer as much an issue as most (if not all) now take payments from the highest interest balance rather than the good old days when it was the lowest.

Of cause you arent going to be clearing the balance each month and so you will always be paying interest on those purchases so a separate card is still better if you intend to clear the purchase costs each month
