As the title suggests, im thinking of buying a tablet but which of the 2 would you suggest. Was thinking of the nexus but its limited in terms of storage the Tab 2 has extra storage so an sd card can be used. Plus theres a cashback offer on of £30 which reduces the price.
The Tab2 has resolution of 1024 x 600, dual core processor and processor speed is 1GHz.

the nexus has resolution of 1280 x 800, quad core processor and processor speed is 1.2 GHz.

Anyone have either, what do you think of it.

Nexus 7 and very pleased with it, and if you are desperate for more storage you can attach an SD card via an adapter.
I've got most of my itunes library on mine stored on Googles servers

Thanks, i was wondering if something like that existed, might have turned the tables in favour of nexus 7.

Yeah the Tab 2 is ICS but JB has started to roll out in France so should be here very soon.

The Tab 2 does come with an 8gb memory card that is sent out after the cashback validation. I didn't want to spend out a lot for a tablet as at the minute i'm only using it for reading so I went for the Tab 2. I did manage to get mine down to about £104 though, I think the lowest now is £118. Had I wanted to spend more or was going to use the tablet more i'd have gone for a Nexus 7 tbh.

    If you're a core counter : -

    - in 'core' terms the Nexus 7 is a 4+1 - it has a 5th battery- saver core
    - it also has a a twelve-core GPU

My bro has two Samsung's chosen because of storage and regrets making the choice now he's seen that localised storage is just not a requirement for our 'lifestyle' domestic use.

If you are a mi££ionaire who goes around the worlds different countries on a weekly basis ,buy an unlocked MiMo and stick a GiffGaff SIM in it.

penrhyn, yep the current Tab2 runs v4.0 ICS, and yes most of my stuff runs on GoogelDrive with no lag problems whatsoever. There's 10GiG per account, I'm not sure why anyone would need more than 10GiG but if you do .. .. go open 4 accounts !

Says 2-3 weeks on the Play site.

    If I hadn't already got a N7 I'd go for one

  • I would definitely recommend the Nexus 7, had mine for 3 weeks now and working like a charm.

I've got the 16gb model and not had any issues with storage with music and films on it, also now with Google bringing out the 32gb model storage shouldn't be an issue.

With the quadcore I don't find any sluggish behaviour and your going to get all the latest Android updates before the Samsung.

id wait and go for a nexus 10. The 7 is small and although would fit in your back pocket, for me isn't as useful as a 10 tablet. also I found with a 7" watching movies gives a) headache and b) neck ache

Thanks for that, I had no idea about the 5th battery.

Id considered it but discounted it for the fact that if i wanted to use out and about ill consider getting a Mifi to get internet when out. I was planning on getting it from John Lewis as I can get discount off it but at the minute its oos but I might wait and see how much the 10" is from JL is if they ever stock it.
