CD Labeling

This isn't asking for help with piracy before you ask :P but i have to hand in a nice electronic version of my work to uni and instead of writing my name on a CD disk i was thinking of printing a nice label for it, the idea is all good but i have no idea how to begin, i understand you have to buy blank labels but then how do you get your print onto it from there ? i have a pretty decent printer/copier/scanner

Most cd writer software has a lable design bit in it. CD label sheets are sort of standardised, there are a few different designs, 2 up 2 offset and you can get some with 3 labels on them.

2 up the lables are down the middle 1 above the other
2 offset 2 lables and they are in oposite corners on the page
the ones with 3 are unusual layed out like this

you just select the type of sheet your using and which label your printing on.

Another thing dont put labels on cd's that will be used in an in car cd player the heat in them melts the glue.

As LittleJohn has said, they come on sheets. They are A4 size to fit in your printer.
They probably sell them at WH Smiths and other stationers too.

you will also need a CD & DVD Label Applicator which will help to put the label onto the cd in a central position.
