Transfering to Savings Account

Hello All,
Just a quick question, I can't seem to find the answer anywhere!
Is it possible to transfer money on a regular basis from a current a/c to another persons savings account? (in this case, its from a Barclays Bank current account to a Post Office savings account, held in another persons name) - I can't see why this would not be possible!
Thanks! :T

As long as you have the sort code and account number you can set up a standing order or bill payment facility to get it there.
Smaller building society accounts may need sort code, account number and account reference number/roll number.0 -
The information sheet for Post Office Online Saver only mentions making deposits by DD from a linked account. So it is a case of checking the Ts&Cs of each account.

Section 2 clause 16dof T&C suggests you can make payment by standing order, using sort code and account number.
But then it does say from *your* bank - OP is asking about payments to a third party. (Can't really see why they'd care that much, but ...)0 -
Thanks for all your replies! This information is very helpful!0
