KIA Manston - £19 SEAT SALE TO FARO & ALICANTE!
Kent Escapes are delighted to announce a fantastic flight only fare promotion during the month of May to celebrate the launch of their summer 2007 programme.
Passengers can visit Portugal's Algarve and Spain's Mediterranean coast from just £19 return.
The offer applies to bookings made between Tuesday April 17 until Tuesday April 24, with low return fares available for Faro on May 3 and May 10, and Alicante on May 6 and May 13.
The promotion applies to 7 and 14 night stays, and true to Kent Escapes policy of "the price you see is the price you pay", the rock bottom fare includes all taxes and charges.

This is the same airport that recently cancelled all booked flights to Virginia USA due to lower than anticipated bookings - only 10% or so of the seat sold I think.
It is the same airport that previously had flights to europe and the UK with EUjet that caused no end of problems due to short notice cancellations and flight time changes. My OH once booked a day return to Glasgow leaving early morning and returning in the evening to attend an important meeting. The day before he received an email telling him his outward flight was changed to one arriving 1 hour before his departure flight!! He then had to book an expensive last-minute flight with BA from Gatwick. Needless to say - that also ceased traiding in 2005.

Having said that - this is a different airline and should have a chance to prove itself. I live in Kent and would love to be able to support local businesses, but my own experience would be not to rely on these flights for something important...like a holiday....or business.....0 -
The airport has nothing to do with teh airline, the airline rent the usage of the airport, i flew with EUjet for a short break and found it to be very very good. The fact that they lost money and went bust had nothing to do with the airport.
How long has this airline been runing from manston?
Looks like the company they are part of Seguro Travel LTD have been in the game since 19910 -
the airport is now owned by infratil who also own prestwick airport.0

The airport has everything to do with the airline - one may not be owned by the other, but the airline is certainly dependent on the airport.
The previous two companies operating out of Manston were unable to fill their planes and therefore cancelled flights and ultimately either pulled out or went bust. This was entirely to do with the location of the airport, which is inconvenient to anyone except those of us who live in Kent.
As I said before, although I usually give my full support wherever possible to local companies, I would personally not take the risk using this one for a holiday or business flight. But this is simply my humble opinion.0 -
well i love having this airport here and hope as many people as possible take advantage of it and its no hassle parking and check in scheme, well worth the extra journey. I used EU jet too and found it great. Nice to see Kent having something useful instead of us folks having to drive miles to get places just cos we live in this corner of the uk, and get left out.0

Aside from that, i cant seem to find the £19 deal anyway

Have you used it yourself for holidays? I live in Kent but am very wary having read the comments about cancelled flights.Ellie

Yes - they have plenty of tickets at the more expensive price - I have reported this misleading ad to trading standards.0
