When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.

But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free.

Examples could be hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.

So be proud of those small steps, they really are important.

Morning all. Hope everyone's ok. Got carried away with the DIY yesterday and then we went to the Theatre so never got round to coming back on here and posting. Anyway here's what I did yesterday/will do today:

 Trip to theatre in the city last night.
£2 city centre parking. £5 tickets courtesy of my employer and then a free seat upgrade on arrival as the show wasn't a sell-out. Took own drinks at interval. Had a free meal at home from M&S as a friend gave us a £10 voucher as a moving in gift.

 Quietly celebrate paying off Credit card 2 yesterday with a good cup of coffee and some sweeties bought with above voucher..

 Bought cheap vinyl for bathroom in B&M Stores.
Didn't use delivery services. Fitted it myself using own tools. Alas they only sell it by the metre not the half metre. Still there'll be enough spare to do the front hallway.

 Called credit card company on cheap number found on this site.I refuse to phone 08... numbers at a cost from my mobile.

 Check to see if bank have fixed error on my account as promised. Nope.

 Walked around 5 shops to find the one that sold the cheapest bathroom blind.

 Drove items only fit for landfill to local coup/tip as I was passing on way to theatre.

 Paint bathroom windowsill with gloss kept from last DIY project at old flat.

 Cleaned gloss paint off hands with home-made Swarfega: Olive oil, rock salt and washing up liquid.

Hope you are all well and feeling full of friday joy, hugs to those that need them! Here is my list:

    - food from stores (leftover enchilada for lunch!)
    - send my cv off for a job
    - look for other jobs
    - write down any spends - a habit i must get back into
    - research christmas presents for my lovely OH
    - rethink idea for mum for christmas
    - clear out some more rubbish from my desk
    - LSD going out for coffee with the girls at lunch

Well, I think that will do me, happy friday y'all

*Put washing on the line instead of tumble - Rare bit of sun is out.
*Buy only what is on my shopping list and nothing extra.
*I make HM bread but often throw away the last bit that was'nt eaten - Either make bread and butter pudding with it or feed to chickens - Do not throw it away..

    Afternoon everyone!

Well this is day two in a row of me posting on here, got to keep this up!

    Yesterdays list - Today I will -

    Check banking DONE!
NSD (only need a roll for my soup and my boss will buy this) DIDN'T MANAGE :( £2.40 spend in MrA's
Dinner from the stores (remembered to take meat out to defrost for DH before I left for work) KINDA. Me and DH fell out and didn't have any dinner :(
Coffee and juice free at work YUP
I WILL NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM AMAZON BLACK FRIDAY :rotfl: MANAGED NOT TO BUY ANYTHING
Do swagbucks, onepoll, and check the competitions boards YES

    Today I DID manage a NSD :j
    Haven't bought a thing from amazon :j
Just had an online chat with O2 and my 30 days cancellation are on my phone account :j
Deactivated my facebook account. I find myself wasting my time on there, just scrolling and 'liking' things. Deactivated for the time being.
Called to cancel Sky. Girl gave me a credit to cover my next payment due 7th December. Will call back on that date to cancel (and properly go through with it!!) and then I won't have to make another payment, plus I will have Sky over christmas :j

I have lots of jumping men on here (oo-er!!) but I'm really not in a good mood. Hate fighting with DH, but I don't want to apologise. Probably should though :o

Quiet night in tonight, will walk my dogs later, dinner will be whatever I can put together. Might do some housework, or make a start on making christmas decorations

    x
Can't think of anything smart to put here...
