New hearth - chipped

We recently installed a new hearth, surround, mantel and fire. The hearth is micro marble.
My husband accidentally dropped something on the edge of the hearth chipping it. Its on the edge and on the front. Its not that visible from the front.
The chip is not simply a matter of putting the chip back on. It is no good, the chip has chipped and is not the correct size.
I guess it is not possible to take the hearth out now is it and replace it?

If its not visible from the front, does it matter.
could you smash up the chip into tiny peices, mix it with a tiny bit of coloured plaster and reshape it and stick it onmake the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -
Its slightly visible from the front, not overly so though.0

I would just live with it, dont point it out to anyone and probably no one will notice. Only you will know that its there (and the baddie who damaged it lol) bet you gave him some stick eh lol.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.

Could you use some of the epoxy filler you can get you mould it in your hands and then into desired shape it sets rock hard its blooming good stuff to fix things. Only issue is how to get it to match the desired colour. I have a long crack inn my hearth due to old owners but we just live with it. Another option maybe get a rug and hide the front. We have a rug near ours but we dont use the fire

Chips in marble and granite can be repaired to virtually invisible, just pay a professional to do it.Declutterbug-in-progress.⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️0

You can do it. A colleague mixed some stone dust with glue and repaired a reconstituted marble fireplace surround. I'm not going to say what glue he used as I cannot remember, and I don't want you to make it worse. I suspect a Google will find you suggestions worth trying.Warning: This forum may contain nuts.0

I guess I just want it to be shiny looking - Suppose I could just leave it. It is not something I could do myself I do not think and hearth was only £1100
